Cherokee, which was unveiled to strong reviews at this year's Detroit Auto Show.Having last been updated in 2014, this beloved crossover keeps all of the things that make it an off-road darling in its segment, but it also gets a few upgrades to improve the daily lives of the people who may ultimately buy one of these vehicles. For example, the 2019 Jeep Cherokee will receive a new 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine capable of generating upwards of 270 horsepower, while the old 2.4-liter four-cylinder and 3.2-liter V6 carry over from the current iteration.
The cargo area also has been redesigned, with Jeep designers adding four cubic feet of space thanks to a widening of the crossover and re-configuring in the back.
As far as aesthetics are concerned, the shark nose has been made more subtle, while the headlights are no longer split. That means the vehicle boasts a bit more classic look, all without sacrificing any of the off-roading capabilities that help it stand out among the competition.
