Auto show season is here, which means every automaker in the industry is putting their best foot forward as they make their way through the U.S. exhibition circuit. For the automakers associated with FCA US LLC, the North American International Auto Show in Detroit is an especially important event every year, as it occurs in the same city as the corporate offices and gives them perhaps their best opportunity to show off their new models.

This year, those new vehicles include the next-generation 2019 Jeep

Cherokee, which was unveiled to strong reviews at this year's Detroit Auto Show.

Having last been updated in 2014, this beloved crossover keeps all of the things that make it an off-road darling in its segment, but it also gets a few upgrades to improve the daily lives of the people who may ultimately buy one of these vehicles. For example, the 2019 Jeep Cherokee will receive a new 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine capable of generating upwards of 270 horsepower, while the old 2.4-liter four-cylinder and 3.2-liter V6 carry over from the current iteration.

The cargo area also has been redesigned, with Jeep designers adding four cubic feet of space thanks to a widening of the crossover and re-configuring in the back.

As far as aesthetics are concerned, the shark nose has been made more subtle, while the headlights are no longer split. That means the vehicle boasts a bit more classic look, all without sacrificing any of the off-roading capabilities that help it stand out among the competition.

Having just debuted in Detroit, the 2019 Jeep Cherokee isn't available for purchase just yet, but if you're interested in any other Jeep for sale, come pay us a visit here at Heritage Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Parkvilee and we'll be happy to set you up for a test drive in any of our fantastic and beloved SUVs!
