How to Get Your Car Ready for Spring

As winter lingers on here in Maryland, start thinking about those warmer days that are coming soon. At Heritage Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM Parkville, our service and parts center professionals are ready to help you get your car recovered from the harsh winter months. Here are some tips for prepping your car for spring.

1. Wash off all the grime and salt

With all the snow and ice that accumulated this year, spring is the perfect time to get a car wash and detailing. Washing your car not only improves its appearance, it also prevents lots of grime buildup and rust.

2. Clean the floors and seats

As you’ve likely tracked in snow and salt, take some time to clean out the interior. Wash the floor mats and vacuum the seats.

3. Check your battery

Because harsh cold can be harmful to your car’s battery, spring is the perfect time to get it checked out. Make sure it has plenty of charge so you don’t have to deal with it malfunctioning while you’re on the road. Our professionals at our Baltimore Dodge service and parts center are ready to help with your battery.

4. Tires, tires, tires

Finally, make sure you get your tires checked out or even replaced as spring approaches. Just like the harsh road conditions can affect your car’s mechanical equipment, it can also wear down your tires faster, especially with all the potholes on the road after the snow and ice is gone. Get your tires rotated and ensure there are no holes to patch up.
